Empty fountain in Rome

I was disappointed to find out that the streets around Forte Prenestino were totally unskateable. Luckily, i had my cruiser board with me, with those big-ass wheels, and managed to get a nice little session in an empty fountain not far from our squat.

Vatican city

It was a long walk from Termini train station to the city of Vatican, but it was worth it. Never mind the history, the bookstores are absolutely amazing. A small tip to a traveller wandering the streets of Rome in summer; wear sun-cream.

Forte Prenestino, Roma, Italy

The story of appropriation of anatomical images also involves passionate disputes and accusations of plagiarism. Holding it down for anarchy in Italy's largest squat.

"Character dolls"

I am firmly convinced that this is my task in life, and nothing makes me more happy than when people view my collection and discover the magic.

Medika squat

It's a treat for an artist when someone else is good. It makes you believe in art again. I am truly thankful for meeting my girlfriend Oko.

Thunder gods

Why hang things on the wall when the wall itself is so much more challenging medium? Yeah. Well, for me, i have a very real, vital experience and exchange with the building-the more time i spend there the more happens and the more i enjoy it.

The element of destruction.

... reorganizing a situation which, because of things beyond my immediate control, is doomed. It is really amazing to see what some people would do to keep their facades grey. The best drawing was covered before i could take a picture.

Relax for a second, and your piece is gone.

Every object incorporates other objects just as it is itself incorporated within other systems. Ignoring that will lead to a false sense of self-sufficiency. I must make myself remember that.

Up one hill and down another.

Half the population of the earth lives in cities. In forty years, the figure will be two-thirds. The increasing size of cities causes a need to make yourself heard and seen. Going bigger than usual, trying to expand my visual vocabulary.

Warm days...

... cold nigths.

Finally...

... it is over. The book I have been working on for the last 8 months is being printed. It should be out in next few days... hold tight!

Work work work

There is nothing worse than burdening a project with too many ambitions, too much attention to the detail, too much finesse, too much intelligence.
Jiem and me in Lille, another victory for the legendary outsider.

Waiting:

The irony in acceleration derives from the waiting we must do to experience it.
Just got back from a 10-day trip to Lille, France.
Had a great time with our friends Flo and Jiem.

Sacrifice and save

Every city is now in the business of not making itself, but also marketing itself.
Spending another sleepless night waiting to get a photo of yesterday's work, in fear of arriving to the spot only to see it scraped off.

Interrupted meanings

When one looks at a certain object only as representing another, the idea one has of it is a sign. This is usually how one looks at paintings...So when a sign becomes a representation of this certain object it can be slowly interfered with to the boundaries of its legibility. The sign works only as long as we associate it with this certain object.
By combining different sets of signs, one can create a personal meta-language, a very own code of communication. Choosing to place this in the public places, one can make a network of signs, a meta-map. Nonetheless, a viewer cannot crack their code and is incapable of re-creating it, so the message of this codes remains enigmatic.
