Going big

This week i tried enlarging my smaller collages. They are hand painted with additional print cutouts and smaller drawings.
It is fascinating how much faster i can work when i know that i am going to paste the work outside. And it feels much better than when it is on canvas.

This little baby was painted on 3 am yesterday in a manic state of mind, and pasted outside immediately. Somehow i knew it was pasted in the wrong spot, but i went to sleep in anticipation of taking the photo of it in the morning.
Morning turned out to be 3 pm, and when i got to the site, it was already torn down. No matter how often this happens, it hurts every time.
So i painted a little r.i.p. for the torn down baby from the poster. Guess it is in baby heaven now. :))

Three more just for show

Getting ready to start working on a big series, this is my relaxation. Hope soon i will post more photos of my devious masterplan.

Friday night...

... it is 3 am and i have spent last 7 hours on my laptop scanning old drawings, arranging folders, editing myspace, uploading blog and am almost fed up with the digital world. There will be more days like this in next few weeks, and the only thing that keeps me sane is my skateboard. And this little army of wicked ugly men stomping around the city.

Every day more space...

... as i am leaving loads of accumulated material and old works outside. I present to you the antimuseum. When i am outside i assume other identities, still remaining puma34...
... yet another trash totem...
... the crusader...

...the printmaker...

... and of course, the dentist's son.

Finally, i can sense the end of this endless pile of materials and work that is crowding me. Just a few more days and i will be able to start walking freely through the studio without avoiding obstacles. :)

More trash totems

Last year i have been working on these wire totems, i have made few dozen of them, and now they are crowding my studio. Once again the solution was to take them to the streets and mark my territory. They seem to work fine.

Scanning older work

Mostly echtings.. I am really looking forward to having time to get my hands dirty in printing ink... but for now it is clearing out the trash and making more space in the studio.

Reinventing myself...

... again. Every now and then i get enclosed in a particular system in my work, and have to break free in order to survive. Guess this is one of those struggles. It does not get any easier with time, the only help i get is hope that i will overcome this crisis just like i did times and times before. The biggest downfall is that i am impossible to be around these days. Sorry.

Emptying the studio part 2.

Few more jewels on Zagreb streets and two from a short visit to Ljubljana. Try to guess which two...

I was collecting all this panels in some lucid ambition to paint them, but i did was keep piling them up. Now i need more space in the studio so it was time for them to hit the streets. I also pasted some of the old drawings i had no room for anymore... It is liberating to have more space, but sometimes it is also hard to let them all go...

Some old photos

Homage to the real Balkan superhero; Supermeho. The protector of the Anti-style.

I have been struggling to combine painting and collage for some time now... Seems that the only solution for what i am looking for is to finally start screen-printing with those sweet fluorescent colors. Oh Yeah.

I did not draw freehand for almost a year since I've left the Academy. I am picking up where I left.

Stupid little people and I am their God.

My foot is getting better

Today i have spent more time skating than i had in last three months, due to broken ligaments. I realize skating makes me a better person. And less stressed too. I am happy to be able to skate again.

Emptying the studio

Taking out the panels i have been collecting for too long now. I always had in mind to do something with them, but they just kept sitting around the studio. Now they are out for good.

Lame ass skating

At the pissing bowl. Even the dogs piss in it. That's why i stink.
